My sister passed suddenly on 11/19/2024, 2 days short of her 48th birthday.  She was an alcoholic and needed a liver transplant,  but refused to stop drinking.  I only found this out when I spoke with her husband that evening. 
Please,  if this sounds like your relative,  get them help. She left her husband, 12 and 18 old daughters and a 30 year old son.
Alcoholism is an insidious and horrible disease.
