Guniya Cress, Cursed Priest of Mahtma the Light Lord

As Hyresu the Paladin and the Black Knight Meldiel Ataru traded blows, Guniya had prayed, whilst Motoman Nine Eyes wove enchantments to slow and weak their foe.

When Ataru fell, his curse of endless rancor passed into the heroes. Hyresu went mad and fled into the Red Mountains. Motoman the wizard mounted his hippogriff and hurled into the skies, while Guniya stood dumbstruck, feeling betrayed that Mahtma had not shielded her from the darkness.

She walked aimless for days amidst the sulphuric miasma, holding back the waves of rage and hatred, until she raised her eyes to the skies, knelt and prayed for days until she nearly died of thirst.

The clouds parted, sunlight poured through and she felt the plague of hatred pass away from her.

With renewed faith and vigor, she sought for Hyresu in the barren fumaroles of the Red Mountains.
