Noir Memories
The rain still falls in black-and-white,
On streets where neon ghosts remain.
A cigarette burns in the dark,
A tiny star against the rain.
Old promises drift through the smoke,
Half-forgotten, bittersweet and worn.
The city keeps its secrets well,
From dusk's first sigh to midnight's mourn.
And somewhere in the shadows still,
A memory turns and meets my eyes—
A fleeting face, a vanished smile,
Lost beneath forgotten skies.
Yet in the haze of years gone by,
Where sorrow dances with reverie,
The heart revisits one more time
Its collection of noir memories.
