Jedi Master Sabbas Apterus, Guardian of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant

Sabbas Apterus was born on the adopted Miraluka homeworld of Alpheridies, as such, he was physically blind, but possessed of heightened senses and awareness of the Force.

As a padawan learner, he was considered aggressive and brusk and trained largely under master Yoda. He was a friend and contemporary of masters Mace Windu and Ki-Adi-Mundi. He was strong in the Force and wielded a unique double bladed blue saber lance of unusual length.

When he became a Jedi master, he was assigned as padawan the besalisk Pong Krell. The two shared a gruff and aggressive nature, but Sabbas Apterus had learned to temper his nature with wisdom, and it was hoped his tutelage of Krell would yield the same. Sabbas Apterus was known to be a master of Form V, Djem So, and a very formidable duelist.

The ultimate fate of Master Apterus is unknown, though the archives held great detail of his career before the Jedi Purge initiated by Sidious and his nefarious Order 66.
