Create an image featuring two or more subjects that would not normally be associated with one another, shown together in a shared moment, scene, or interaction. The contrast between the companions should be immediately noticeable, whether it comes from differences in species, scale, origin, era, function, or temperament. The image does not need to explain why these companions are together—only that they are. Entries may be realistic, stylized, abstract, humorous, serious, or surreal, but the relationship between the unlikely pair should be clear and intentional. The focus of the piece should be on the juxtaposition itself and how the subjects coexist, cooperate, or simply occupy the same space.
Examples:
- A polar bear walking alongside a camel across a flat, open landscape
- A hot air balloon drifting beside a large school of fish, both moving through the same space
- A massive industrial crane standing next to a delicate wildflower growing at its base
