Challenge Criteria
Hippiepunk collides 1960s-70s hippie culture with the angry edge of punk, when the Summer of Love realizes that love alone isn’t enough. It includes (but is not limited to) these motifs and themes:
- Symbolic peaceful elements with a gritty punk twist
- Standoffs with authority figures, sit-ins, barricades
- Burned draft cards, torn newspapers, spray painted slogans
- Tattered flower crowns, ripped denim, bare feet on broken glass
- Saturated 1960s palette with darker colors creeping in
- Blacklight, neon, grain, texture, psychedelic patterns adding chaos
- Idealism hardening into determination
Images breaking NightCafe community standards will be rejected.
