Prehistory is rich in examples. World of dinosaurs at Mesozoic, of giant mammals at Cenozoic or other extinct animals at any time.
🦋 Giant dragonflies, 🦕 dinosaurs, 🦥 megatherium, glyptodon, macrauchenia, and giant birds like gastornis. 🦣 At the age of early man, mammoths, smilodons, cave bears, woolly rhinoceroses...
The list of possibilities is endless.
✔️ The animals must have existed. 🛑 no dragons, no mythology.
Artistic style is free.
