Challenge Criteria
Mythpunk takes mythological stories and turns them against their own power structures through a modern punk lens. It includes (but is not limited to) these motifs and themes:
- Corrupt mythological pantheon (ex: Olympus as a corporate tower; godly powers weaponized)
- Legendary heroes resisting (ex: Sisyphus pushing a statue over with his boulder)
- Monsters marginalized and fighting back (ex: Medusa falsely accused; sirens as agents of justice)
- Mythological iconography; legendary environments
- Fashion as resistance: togas with combat boots; laurel crowns atop punk-styled hair; winged sneakers, etc
Images breaking NightCafe community standards will be rejected.
