Create artwork that blends post-apocalyptic imagery with a sense of peace, calm, or fragile beauty. The world may be ruined, abandoned, overgrown, or transformed: yet something about it feels gentle, quiet, or unexpectedly serene.
Interpretation is completely open as long as the artwork expresses catastrophe softened by calm or beauty emerging from aftermath.
Examples
- A quiet street swallowed by vines, glowing with soft morning light, where nature has grown undisturbed for decades.
- A lone traveler resting beside a broken monorail, watching bioluminescent plants pulse gently in the twilight.
- An abandoned library transformed into a sanctuary, dust floating like slow snow as a small pool of water reflects the ruined ceiling above.
