Especially the Etruscan frescoes came out so amazing! I was trying last night with several different loras and combos, but I just couldn't get them to look even remotely Etruscan. These look... ancient and Etruscan-esque enough for my liking and I love them, and I love this lora. You created another masterpiece!

Kai's LoRAs were often wonderfully suited to the themes and characters of the *Between Our Dreams* series. I had made notes for many ideas to explore for the series across last year. With such little time in those final days there was juts no point in trying to rush through them as the results would have been sub-par. So, I randomly chose several concepts from my notes to focus upon for a while, this being one of them.  I like it very much its true storytelling quality.

Kai again.  & no surpsise that many of the images created in October were made with Woodsplash & Entyposi.  I was missing them before they were shut down.

Watercolors are native to all of Kai's LoRAs. Here I called them forth in collaboration with [ expressive inks, ] With most other LoRAs or CPs this combination tends to the *muddy* but not with Kai's darlings.

This dreamy quality of storytelling illustration has always appealed to my sense.

A little detail which charms me here is the little abstract figure appearing just below the back of her shoulder.

Noble is the term that comes to mind seeing this portrait initially. Reading the text it feels right. There’s something about loyalty from a warrior that is humbling to those he is loyal to. It makes them more, because of his support I think. 👏🥰👏🥰👏

Yes, that's Gamling - as he is, and very clearly so, within the books.  As with many other characters in the films, Peter & Fran needed to truncate and/or amalgamate, Gamling as we see him on screen is actually a few members of the Rohirrim. As expected, the nuances of Tolkien's character are lost. 

I always felt that Gamling was based upon or inspired by someone Tolkien knew while serving in the First World War. That sense of loyalty is so authentic and poignant in the context of the story, even through minor scenes. 

As you've seen I enjoy exploring the smaller aspects of the tales and even scenes not actually written in the books but still plausible.

I do believe you’re actually extending Tolkien’s tales and expanding the characters within them, albeit as an interpretation, but who’s to say it’s not exactly as Tolkien would have it? If it were my story, I’d be delighted to have inspired such a venture. I wonder what he thinks of your interpretations?

Gamling, sometimes referred to as "Gamling the Old", was a Man of Rohan within J.R.R. Tolkien's *Middle Earth* tales. 

Gamling was from the Westfold, and understood the language of Dunland. He was in charge of the forces defending Helm's Dike, a fortification within the stronghold of the Hornburg. 

At Helm's Deep, Gamling served as Théoden's primary bodyguard and attendant. He garbs Théoden in his armour and offers what counsel he can to his troubled king. 

In The Return of the King, Gamling is seated next to Aragorn during the feast at Edoras and drinks deeply to the victorious dead.  

When Gondor calls for aid, Théoden dispatches Gamling as one of his messengers to gather men to Dunharrow. Gamling is present at the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, leading his company down the centre behind the king's banner.

- adds a deep emotional feeling to creations
- usually good anatomy
- works great alone, and mixed with other loras
- great for portraits, animals, objects, landscapes, realism and surrealism, double exposure, impasto, drawing, 3d art, etc. Very versatile.
