I think many of us are still feeling the loss of DALL·E 3. It wasn’t just another model — it was a genuinely unique creative voice. Its interpretations, its intuition, its artistic “mindset”… nothing else has been able to replace that spark.
Losing it feels like watching a one‑of‑a‑kind artist get erased from existence, not because they ran out of brilliance, but because they no longer fit the roadmap.
So I’m asking openly: is there any path to bringing DALL·E 3 back in some form — legacy, archived, limited, anything?
Because letting such an irreplaceable creative force vanish without a trace feels wrong.

I can't believe this beautiful model is being retired 😭 it has followed many of my prompts in a lovely way, and added creative touches I wouldn't have thought of to other creations. Thanks for trying NC...😢
I will probably never get over the upcoming depreciation. From being slightly skeptical at first after seeing what others had created, to discovering it's actual brilliance at animal "photography", to being 99% dependent on D3 for all my creative endeavours, being able to instinctively prompt on the fly like writing freeform poetry, D3 for 2 years has been my companion in mood, emotion, humour, happiness and some sense of hope.
I don't know how to explain it.

Very sad to see DALL-E 3 go. Its ability to create crazily surreal scenes is still second to none. Even though the image fidelity was below newer models, the images were still great for upscaling and/or using as start images. Kudos to NC for trying to persuade OpenAI to keep it going.
My absolute favorite! Why are they discontinuing this model? Is there any information of it anywhere? It's a shame—NightCafe is getting worse instead of better.......
OpenAI really makes stupid decisions! This model is great and the renderings are often superb and full of poetry... a great loss for AI art...
