As a cultural anthropologist, I love mythological and historical themes, absurd situations and fables. My creations of porcine characters are meant as a celebration of softness, earthiness, and bodily joy. They reclaim a symbol often misunderstood or stigmatized. In ancient cultures, the pig was a creature of abundance, fertility, softness, vulnerability as well as courage and the beginning of agriculture. Their joy and quiet dignity are qualities I find deeply lovable, and they defy the logic bodily streamlining in many modern societies. I also love Fantasy characters, especially orks and ogres.
