Welcome, The Journal is Waiting For You…

This is a little experiment I’ve wanted to try for a long time.

Instead of creating a collection of unrelated AI images, I wondered if it was possible to tell a single illustrated mystery, one DreamShaper v8 render at a time.

It wasn’t easy.

DreamShaper has a wonderful painterly style, but it doesn’t always give you exactly what you imagine. More than once the story had to change because the image suggested something better than I had planned. In a strange way, the AI became my creative partner, and the story evolved one render at a time.

Is it perfect? Not even close.

But it’s been one of the most enjoyable creative projects I’ve tackled, and I’m rather fond of where Sarah’s journey finally led.
