Aetherwing Serpent (Serpens Aetheris) — Species Plate Description (Revised)
An alpine avian‑serpentine species adapted to extreme elevations. Broad feathered wings and flexible serpentine bodies allow precise gliding through turbulent mountain winds. Iridescence intensifies seasonally, supporting display behaviors and camouflage among cloud cover. Nests are built in sheltered cliff alcoves, where hatchlings emerge cryptically colored and develop early flight through short glides. Aetherwings remain elusive, rarely descending from their high‑peak habitat.
