The prologue of my story. An epic that so far has inspired me to create over 1200 images that accompany the story.

Following the story of Celera Justos, a paladin honoring her mother's and father's legacies by becoming the kingdom's most righteous and powerful champion. She trains her sister, Bridget, to become a better warrior than herself.

"I'll return soon and we'll finish your training. I love you. Remember your four pillars. Integrity, grace, faith, and strength. Do good and be good. We'll finish your training the next time we meet. Be sure to visit mom and dad while I'm gone. I love you, dear sister."


Celera says goodbye to her sister, Bridget

A month-long journey lies ahead of the army but the men can't help but cheer and sing along the way. With Celera by their side, they're sure to finally wipe out the blight. The month is full of triumph and confidence as day by day the soldiers get closer to defeating the vampires.

The march begins

The vampiric lord has been a blight on the land for the last decade. Citizens live in fear and the land that once belonged to Dawnpeak has been taken hostage by the undead. That ends today. Celera, the greatest hero in the history of the kingdom will claim victory.

Battle looms close

As soon as they observe the castle, legions of undead monsters descend upon the army. Celera destroys scores upon scores of the beasts but her men begin to falter. She sees man after man cut down by the undead. For every ten she kills, five more take down one of her men. 

The battle begins

A veteran soldier finds Celera in the chaos of battle. "Paladin Celera! We'll carve a path for you. Follow us. We'll get you to the gates"
They begin to focus their assault and march between the waves of the undead. Carving, cutting, blasting, and pushing through thousands of monsters. This group is taking heavy damage but they're the best of her men and they keep their promises.

The push to the castle

Celera and her men carve their way to the castle. Upon reaching the doors, they realize the masses of undead have turned their attention to the small group. They won't be able to invade the castle with this many enemies on their tail.

With no words spoken, her men leap out from the door's shadow and being fiercely cutting down the army of undead. They fight with a pace and an intensity they won't be able to sustain.

The fiercest of soldiers

The oldest of the soldiers, a veteran who trained a young Celera yells at her. "Get through that door and seal it behind you. We'll take care of this."

For the first time in a battle, Celera hesitates. She shakes her head no but the veteran soldier shouts louder, "DON'T YOU DARE MAKE LIGHT OF OUR SACRIFICE. GO, CELERA!"

She snaps out of it and sees the man wear a determined smile on his face. They all know, this will be the end for the men. Feelings overwhelm the female paladin as she crosses the threshold leaving her men to die. Tears fill her eyes. 

Following orders

Celera slams shut the doors. A booming mechanism clicks into place sealing the castle from outside invaders. Celera nearly collapses against the door. She knows the outcome of the battle on the other side.

The old veteran warrior gives his remaining men a sadistic smile. They all understand. The next few moments would go down in legend as the most ferocious fighting the world had ever seen but sadly, no men will pass on this tale.
