Madame Rose is a famous tarot reader and fortune-teller who is a spiritual advisor to the city's upper classes and a medium at high society parties.

She claims to have supernatural abilities of not just communicating with the dead, but to perceive events in the future or beyond normal sensory contact. Her prophecies always come true one way or another.

A few days ago, she claimed to have seen a black shadow descend on Boddy Blacks' new Hotel and went there to "help him avoid misfortune." Could these be Madame Rose's true intentions, or would she be there to enforce her own prophecy?
