I *dearly* like them.  I was born in NYC so I did not encounter them at all until they happened by on a vist to my grandparents' home in the country.  I wa fascinated by them as a child and remain charmed to this day.  There's a few portraits of them in my gallery.

I also find them wonderfully fun to portray.
