This is revealed by a mysterious bard, Elyas, Alistair's illegitimate son and half-brother of the young woman.
🛡 Elyas challenges Caerdan not with the sword, but with the power of truth and poetry. The two confront each other in three songs about honour, love and forgiveness. Selene, desperate but determined, intervenes, invoking peace. A divine light invests her: it is the sign of Paladine, the supreme god of good and patron of the Knights of Solamnia.
🕊 Truth is accepted, vengeance renounced. The past is honoured, but not repeated. Peace triumphs.
