Thank you for the comment on this piece. I'm glad you liked it. The idea behind it was to depict events from the book 'Sword of Destiny' in the Witcher series. When Yennefer ends up in Vilgefortz's castle and stays there for a while as a guest. He tries to extract information about Ciri from her, but fails to do so through persuasion. After that, he changes his approach and she ends up in the dungeon of his castle. She is tortured there. At first, she holds up quite bravely, but then, already exhausted and battered from the torture, she still doesn't reveal any secrets. Despite being tired and battered, she remains unbroken and eventually finds a way to escape and ends up in the city. I tried to depict all of this in this and the previous series of illustrations. I'm not sure how well it came across without description; I might add it later.

I must confess, I have not read the Witcher novels, but I have played some of the first game, and own the trilogy, but have not played the other two yet. I enjoyed the first TV series with Henry Cavill, but the later series did not feel quite as good, and the spin-off with Micehelle Yeoh, I did not enjoy that much. It is a shame Henry has left, but I understand his reasons, as a fan himself and having to deal with too much deviation from source material. Remains to be seen how Hemsworth fills his boots, if that is still his replacement. But I'll stick with it, no doubt.
