Dreamshaper XL Lightning
During her rule (S.A. 1556 - 1731 (175 years)) in Númenor, momentous events took place in Middle-earth:
- in S.A. 1600 the Rings of Power were forged,
- in S.A. 1693 the War of the Elves and Sauron began, and
- in S.A. 1700 a great navy from Númenor was sent to Lindon to aid the Elves and utterly routed the forces of Sauron at the Battle of the Gwathló.
Tar-Telperiën refused to wed, and so died without an heir. She was long-lived even for one of Elros' line, and appeared to be reluctant to give up her power: unlike all the rulers of Númenor before her, she did not surrender the Sceptre to her successor a few years before her death, but instead waited until just prior to it.
