This portrait I adore.
Of all the submissions in Kai's recent challenge only two did I feel were worthy of 5 Stars, this was one of them.
I know not many felt the same way. But portraits have never been the popular theme. As they are my image form of choice I know this equation very well. So what!?
I enjoy what moves my heart and am not impressed with purely stylistic imagery. This is a classic portrait and could easily be accepted as an original work of one of the Nineteenth century Oil masters.
Keep following that which inspires your heart, Jeanne Marie... it is always the pathway Home.
Ooh, I especially like the touch of the kid having collected dandelions--which kids tend to be obsessed with and which are easily found everywhere--not some store-bought flower bouquet!
