E45 must know there's a chance this could blow up in their faces rather badly depending on how upcoming elections embolden or marginalise bigots. That they went with this campaign, and especially with (what appears to me to be) almost a deluge of "inside jokes" communicating intimately with the trans community is very heartening indeed.  E45 must be betting that this is a huge untapped market that they want to dominate.

I’m delighted to see what is clearly a massive company saying you know what let’s do it. I wasn’t sure about my creation above but I saw the ad last night for the first time and I thought ‘wow’. Yes it’s a risk for them with the elections right wing fanatics etc but I think yes there is a huge market out there for this probably more than most people realise. The in jokes were fantastic, the radio jock saying let’s talk about the trans issue here and the beautiful woman throwing her eyes up to heaven. Fantastic. 

The folks at the bus stop were a brilliant touch too.  Obvious sympathy from the traditional E45 market.  It's a very clever ad.
