Elspeth Moggie, Penelope's older cousin

love this cat and this particular 'style' too!

Penelope Tabby needed more help than kittens alone could provide. After all, she was much older than some of the kittens she was trying to teach. When her older cousin, Elspeth heard of Penelope's noble goal - of writing a written form of Felinese, the language cats speak - she knew she wanted to help. In fact, without her writing to Penelope to say she wanted to be of assistance, it was doubtful whether the written language would happen.

Leaving Scotland, Elspeth hurried down to York with her bags and a little catnip to help her sleep on the train journey. Unknown to many humans, while catnip will excite most cats, it always serves to calm them and make them sleepy afterwards. Elspeth wasn't the sort to get overly excited anyway. So when she exited the train station, she felt well rested and ready for any challenge.
