She balanced trays on both arms loaded down with hot bowls of stew, the bartender Mick held his breath, but this time, she delivered them both without a mishap.
Mick let out his breath and wiped his forehead, eyeing Delio Wynn. The bard grinned widely and accepted the two gilder wager graciously. He turned and smiled at Imnif as she suddenly burst out laughing from a joke a group of gnomes had been telling her.
She threw him a dazzling smile as she went back into the kitchen to pick up the next orders.
"She's.. a strange one, Del.. but she's loosening up a bit, isn't she?" Mick said, as he polished a glass without thinking about it.
"That she is, Mick, all she needed was a bit of patience and care."
"And the ten gilders you've paid for food and drinks she's spilled helped." Mick said with a grin.
"That's just between us, pally." Delio took up his lyre and danced about, singing a jaunty tune. The patrons clapped and sang along and all was well at the Silver Swan Saloon.
