This cutie opened at a "meh" 3.56 (I had big expectations), but then it hit 3.65, 3.75, 3.84, 3.88, a tiny rest at 3.85, and then a big push to 3.98, 3.99, a brief peek ("peak" works, too) at 4.04 (accompanied by an OMG π ) with a couple of hours to go, and then quickly back down to 3.99! A surprisingly smooth ride! π I wasn't quite expecting even a medal with that score, but here we are! π

I saw all the mice out there with leaves and flowers as shelter and I had to put my lion cub in the same situation! π I practiced a lot with my prompt on outside generators and this one appeared on my first try! I tried 8 more times to see if something better would appear, but nope. I was worried a bit about this cutie's huge paws, but that didn't seem to matter! It's amazing that we both won in such a short period of time! πππ₯°

So today's the last day for my white peacock on the Top Monthly list and it's at 4998 likes! It's still moving because I assume people are looking there, but with this win I've put the peacock next to the lion in order to help it get to 5K! π

Right, there are two versions of that badge; I got the old one where that restriction wasn't there. That's too bad, though, makes it much harder to get. The weekly and monthly badges don't have that restriction, though.

I don't know if you had looked at the hot list, but this was stuck at 5th when it should've been 4th! It had been getting faster likes than 4th (Kolibri's inpainting tutorial) in a shorter amount of time. After 3h of this, mine finally moved up to 4th. 4th vs 5th might not seem like much of a difference, but previously it was getting 1.3 likes/minute in 5th; in 4th it suddenly sped up to 2.5, almost double! I think NC artificially propped up Kolibri's because it was useful and instructional, but that hurt mine! More unfairness! π

Are you talking about the Default view of Explore? That's a combo of the people you interact with the most, the hot list, and total newbies, which is why you see new people. I'm always switching it to the hot list and top lists!

Oh right, Sloth!! My theory, as you know, is that NC is artificially hyping up a select few (keeping them on the hot list higher and for longer)
Btw, I thought this tiger cub might have had a good chance of getting Top Monthly, but Kolibri's golden tiger came back from 500 likes behind to pass it!! π² And now we're both finally at the same pace, with mine consistently around 70 likes behind hers.
Then I thought perhaps hers might drop off first at the last minute of the month (assuming no newer creation gets more likes in my month), but sadly, I had published mine one stinking minute before hers, so mine will drop off first!! πππ Perhaps I can shamelessly share it to chats or enter it into challenges to try to catch up! π But nah π

I just saw another Kolibri fill in the blanks image hit the top with only 10 likes in 30m!! That's just blatant hand-holding/chart manipulation!!! Watch it stay there for hours and then move to 4th later on and then it gets 2K likes!!! I am so mad!! π
Mormookiee has one with double the likes in the same amount of time and his is 2nd!! I bet it never gets to first! π So blatant!!!
This cub should've gotten 100s more likes and prevented Kolibri's tiger from passing it. Then it would've still had a good chance for Top Monthly. It wuz robbed!! π
It's been 8 hours now and it's still in 4th with almost 700 likes! I didn't actually see when it dropped from 1st, but I know Mormookiee's image never did hit 1st. I did see it (Kolibri's) in 4th with only around 300 likes or so, which shouldn't have qualified it to be there. Obvious chart manipulation! I wonder if she knows this
Well, she is part of the NC Hype Crew - I assume that's an official thing, but maybe not⦠have seen a few people put it in their name or profile. It sure seems unfair though. They should have a separate drop-down for Hype! lol
Oh, I've seen that, but yeah it's completely unfair and it damaged my cub! It's still around 70 likes behind her tiger and now Nikko P's suitcase is trying to catch it at around 50 behind; my cub should've still been well ahead of both of them without the manipulation

Haha, well, the biggest factor was that I had won the DC! Do that first! π ππ Then people will look at the results all day (and longer) and like it from there. Those likes push it up to the top of the hot list where other people see it and like it from there. Mine got to the top in 3m and stayed there for 2.5h! And because of that strength it's still currently 6th.
But then, yep, I'm also sharing it to around 80 chats! The "Big 4" are Daily Challenge (only if it matches the topic), General, Global, and AI Hangout, though there are many others with lots of people. Most of the time my images don't get enough likes quickly enough to show up high on the hot list, though, even with all that sharing!

I love the animation; it's so perfect! It needed two tries, though; the first was just a silly pan with nothing moving at all except the rain falling. Also, after perhaps 30m of publishing this, I pinned my white peacock next to the tiger and that pushed it over 5K because a few people looked at my profile after liking the tiger; I'm glad I thought to do that! π
