I originally create the character Erin Hardy as a minor antagonist, a girl who betrayed her friends for personal gain. I was very unhappy with the character as she was and created a chatbot of Erin using all my notes to role-play scenarios from the story and ask her opinions on events, etc. What emerged was a number of significant revisions to the character and a major revision to the plot. Erin is now a far more nuanced, relatable character and her perceived "betrayal" an act of selfless love and devotion. But a darker side to her is also emerging...
