To see them from a distance, they were almost as one. Anyone observing them at those moments felt a vague motion of envy toward them, because some things can indeed be recognized at first glance, and what was seen there on the San Cristoforo Bridge in Milano in that cold February morning was clearly something that few had, and that was destined to last.
