Old Lord Betelgeuse lowered his vision enhancers and looked up from the latest report from Earth. He sat at his desk, adjusting his notes with his upper hands.  Then he placed his lower hands together on the desk, finger tips touching, indicating he was ready.  The holo crew turned the camera on.

The director counted down the last three seconds with his fingers held up...

"My fellow citizens. We are all anxious to hear from our observers in the Sol-Earth System."

Looking hard at his monitor full of reaction graphs, the feedback manager spoke to the rest of the holo crew on his soft mic. "Lookin good..."

The event director ordered his cameraman. "Zoom in. Get the emotion."

"I have good news today," carried on Lord B.
The feedback manager gave the thumbs up.
"Our Earth Ort Observatory reports that they have located our missing observers."

The rating graphs jumped high and the manager put his top two fists up in a power signal.

"It appears they were hiding in a cellar on the surface all along, and turned their transponders off when the emergency started."

The Chief of Staff took an outside call.  "Yes Councilman...  Of course, as soon as he's finished..."

"They are all safe and preparing for a press conference as soon as they arrive at the Ort Observatory.  I will be at the briefing and be your voice. Thank you. Goddess bless, and good night."

The Chief of Staff flashed Lord B with a hand sign that meant trouble was on the phone.  "I appreciate your concern, Councilman, but it's already done, so there's not much to say...  Saturn is rising...  As you wish...  Here's My'lord now..."

tried to recreate the style and color theme from my latest series of work towards a challenge. 

I do feel I did not meet the song theme of a slightly rowdy, intoxicated sailor bar quite enough? and I also did not really fully recreate the cyperpunkish pink vibe of my previous series? it is pink and a tad glass, chagall ... but the cyperpunk remains very very dim in the background? 

but it did come out nice in a different way 💓
