A depiction from Norse Mythology. At the final battle of Ragnarök, it is said that the evil wolf Fenrir, son of Loki, will be the slayer of Æsir chief Oðin, who will be swallowed whole in the Wolf's gigantic maw. But not long after this terrible loss, one of Oðin's sons, the silent and strong Viðarr, will advance on the Wolf to avenge his father's slaying. He will become the Wolf's slayer, placing one armoured foot into its lower jaw, seizing the upper jaw with his free hand, and thus tearing the Wolf's face asunder.
This image took multiple attempts until I could be satisfied. Even this one is still not perfect to me, but it is close.
What figures, scenes or locations from Norse Mythology should I attempt to create next? Suggestions welcomed in comments.
