This is my entry for the Scottish Romance challenge. I imagined a couple embracing in the Scottish Highlands with a castle nearby, and their love is forbidden ... not sure why yet. Maybe he is betrothed to another woman he doesn't love. The title comes from Tabitha Suzuma: "Being together, we harm nobody; being apart, we extinguish ourselves."
