Crisis meeting with a view

Jenni explains the situation: there is a serious risk that they will not be able to see the solar eclipse. To improve their chances – which, even so, would remain very slim – the programme needs to be radically overhauled. They’ll have to give up the plan to watch it from Kirkjufell and the magnificent waterfall next to it. They might still stand a chance if they cut short their visit to the magnificent sea cliffs and rock formations between Hellnar and Arnarstapi, and set off immediately for the western tip of the Snæfellsjökull peninsula, where their chances might be slightly better. The Westfjords would offer the best chance, but it’s a five-hour drive there, and they won’t make it in time. The team tries to console Jeni, who is clearly keen for the group to have a perfect experience. The weather, however, is beyond her control.
