He turned abruptly, anger in his eyes. He stepped toward her, but she stood her ground. “No man likes to be called a fool, especially by his wife.” Kedemar said coldly. She gazed up at him, just as angry as he. “Well I can’t very well lie, can I?” She shot back. “So I’ll say it again. You’re a fool, Kedemar. A fool! A fool to think that I would ever care for any other man but you!” Angry tears spilled down her cheeks. “Do you really think my vows mean nothing to me? They mean everything!” She shouted. He was stunned for a moment, but then embraced her tightly. “I’m sorry.” He said. “I’m sorry. I am a fool, for doubting you. It just— it hurts, Nat.”
