Gyuron, Giant Extrasolar Tortoise of Fistula Proxima

In the year 2645, in orbit of Trappist-1, an ultra-cool dwarf star located in the Aquarius Constellation, a very rock strewn stretch of space, is the giant exoplanet Fistula Proxima, closest to the star, with a minimal atmosphere.

It was initially a far flung First Corporate Alliance research base and, as such, remains the home of the curious being Gyuron, a gen-engineered turtle capable of, very slow, space travel. He has a chamber within for human beings to reside during their flight and he was designed for long range reconaissance that could be self sufficient, as Gyuron has a full hydroponics and water filtration system within his anatomy.

However, as with much of the now defunct FCA, Gyuron was an idea that never got off the ground, literally. Though he is extremely intelligent, he would never obey his training and thus decided to stay on the planet. He became something of a mascot as it evolved into an independent colony, squatting over top of the geodesic domes, now a city.
