When streaming clouds enshroud the moon
and the waves are at the door
You might hear in the wind an eerie tune
and she returns once more.
The sea is claiming back the land
and the abbey ruined lies
but on the rocks still there she'll stand
with sorrow in her eyes.
She waits for him to come back home
In the wedding gown she wore
But through the years he had not come
where she waited on the shore.
And faithfully she waits and watches still;
For one who did not come... and never will.
