Deep in the Mali cliffs, through a rolling fog, the lights of a Dogon village can vaguely be seen in the distance. Up close, masked Dogon ritual dancers move in slow procession around a central bonfire, mysteriously illuminated by the stars peeking through breaks in the clouds.
