Yeah.  Looks like Ancient Greece at first--philosophy at an ancient temple; so, the treatment of light is def Hudson River School, but the Catskills don't have any pointy mountain peaks, nor any Greek Temples, that I ever saw, anyway. An interesting image, nonetheless. Makes one feel like they've gone back in time. Pindus Mountains? Peloponees Mts? Mount Olympus? I've never been---maybe they got points?
Anyway-very well done!

Thanks! It was one of those "I'm playing with the Greek thing, and someone's suggested using HRS today, so I wonder what would happen if..." moments. You know the ones. Worked surprisingly well, though I'm a little unsure why this one was picked up rather than some of the others in the series. Then again, I rarely understand what makes things 'popular' around here (or anywhere), so why should this be any different?

I've never been to any o' them ranges either, nor the NY ones. Lumpy, I guess, like most mountains. Don't get me wrong, pretty and all, but we got some of them round here, too. I'm not much of a traveller...

Yep.  It did work well. I'll visit your page to see the series, cause there's no telling if they'll show up on my feed anytime this century. Their algorithm is nothing if not unpredictable. Jury is out on whether that's a good thing.
I always liked the HRS for the way they worked with light. Sometimes their subject matter was right on the money, vis-a-vis 19th century life in upstate NY, (where I grew up, but not in the 19th century) but mostly I was a fan of their use of color to achieve light.
So you have mountains where you live?  I've forgotten, where is that?  I've seen all the mountains the US has to offer, and the Swiss Alps, but haven't been anywhere in Europe where they have mountains except Lichtenstein, Switzerland, and oh yeah--I did see some from quite a distance while on a train in Spain, but that was so not fun, I've never bothered to do the research it would take to find which mountains they were. Somewhere between Madrid and Morocco, in the desert. Carry on!
