I always imagined Bigfoot as a giant grown-up hiding deep in the mountains.
Instead, I met one my age.

So there we sat, holding up our feet and laughing at how wonderfully different they were. Mine fit inside a hiking boot. His looked like they could wear a canoe.
Patches called it "important scientific research." I called it making a new friend.
Dad always said curiosity is how strangers become friends, and fear disappears the moment you stop wondering if someone is different... and start wondering who they are.
Dad always said you learn something new every day.
That day, Bigfoot learned about little feet...
and I learned that Bigfoot has babies too.
