Wow, congratulations! I'm really sorry that I haven't commented or replied to comments lately - I've been rather busy, and all of your creations lately have been so incredible it didn't feel right to not dedicate much more time than I could for commenting on them. I have more free time now, though, so I'll probably recommence with expressing my appreciation for the profound beauty of your creations. This image is probably one of the most phenomenal of yours so far; it is more than deserving of fourth place in this Daily Challenge. I showed it to my friend and she agreed, without a moment of hesitation. It certainly epitomizes the ceaseless sublimity that marks your work in general, with the rich hues and palpable breath of nature. As usual, both the movement and harmony are truly incredible. The way the waves are depicted, rising, rhythmic, and powerful, with perfect froth and beautiful blends of grays and blues in the water, creates an ineffable sense of majesty and relentless change.
Meanwhile, the sky, comprised of simple strokes and bold colors, conveys so much; there is a profound feeling of omniscience and eternity in that single circle of purest light and the rich scarlet and thick strokes of paint around it that fade into the grayish blue of the dimming sky. I love how the golden-scarlet hues cast by the setting sun reflect on the rippling surface of the ocean, like a path from bronze beach to gilded flames, drawing attention to the woman in the forefront. Her elegant form is beautifully rendered; the fluttering of her crimson dress creates a tangible sense of wind and in that wind, wonder and a sort of pensiveness that is augmented by the inclination of her stance toward the sea. Her shadow and the red tint of its penumbra, like a reflection on the smooth, glossy sand, adds surrealism to the dynamic style. The blurred watercolor of the flowers is beautiful as well. Overall, the color palate of golden, blue, and red is shown at its best with this composition.
A primordial sense of love and harmony with the ocean and the sky, a thoughtful awareness of raw human emotion, provocative of the whole gamut thereof, and simple artistic mastery... There's an endless chasm beneath the surface of this image which seems to hold it all, or as much as pixels on a screen can. I can almost smell the salty sea air, feel the fading warmth of the sun as the coolness of night flutters down, and even away from nature as pure as that depicted, I'm already sinking into the profundity of nature's song. Incredible work, Finni! And again, congratulations!
