A gargantuan vessel, once a marvel of interstellar engineering, lay motionless on the desolate, crimson surface of a distant world, its elegant metallic hull scorched and scarred. The ship's internal systems were eerily silent, the complex network of pressurized water pipes and waste disposal lines rendered completely inoperative by a catastrophic system failure. With no running water for sanitation or sustenance, the crew faced a grim, uncertain future marooned far from any civilization.
