Dreamshaper XL Lightning
Tried duplicating @Tophurious prompt that looked so fabulous. I feel like this one came closest to the themes of the inspiring work.
Flux Schnell drifted the furthest from the original work, but it feels like it was maybe closer to the literal prompt text.
Crystal Clear XL Lighting was in between this and Flux; less going on, a simpler mech, but not as clean looking as Flux Schnell.
The SDXL 1.0 with no Loras did approach the themes of the original work relatively closely, but I personally feel this image is closer.

Oh, this one is really cool; I like the SDXL one too, because of - as you said - being close to the original. But yeah, this one is a nice half-way between the original's pencil styling, and a more recent shiny-render
