Fantasy Plant 16: Asutu

Asutu has thin rubbery leaves and stem with orange bioluminescence. Their roots are short, thin, and sparse. Asutu are very rare. They can only grow under certain very specific conditions, not all of which are understood by Imperial botanists, but it is known they only grow on ley lines in alkaline soil in temperatures that don't drop below 21 C. or exceed 27 C. Asutu seeds have never been seen, neither have rhizomes or stolon, so it is not known how they propagate. Asutu roots are a necessary ingredient for making panacea, and so are very valuable. They have been found on every world except Blechen and Hadea.
