Unable to maintain their existence for long, they prey upon those gifted with arcane talent consuming them in the efforts to stave off their own violent re-deaths.

Onmivaris awoke to its existence and understood the grim purpose to which it was fashioned. Their creator was running out of time and as it's creation so too were they. It sees the destructive predatory nature of its existence not as a means of preventing its own death but that of their God's. Every living soul consumed buys time for not only him or his fellow kindred but also for their deity and while a remedy may be found, it understands that it will be through their creators hand that they are saved from destruction.
