Emma’s phone

Emma rarely calls Jenni; she much prefers to send a text. But on the one hand, she’s got one hand full right now, as she’s cuddling Sessan the cat, and on the other, she’s really looking forward to the trip to see Jenni. She’ll be arriving at Jenni’s on Wednesday; in fact, this will be Emma’s proper holiday before the folk high school starts next week. And this will be the first time Emma has set off on such a long journey on her own, without parental supervision. She won’t be staying long; she has to be home by Sunday so she can go to the orientation days on Monday, which is another reason why she wants to cram in as many experiences as possible whilst she’s there. Jenni listens to her enthusiastic little sister with a smile, knowing that with such a packed schedule, Emma wouldn’t really have time left for eating, drinking or sleeping.
