Any popular entertainer has a public image that seldom matches reality. A gladiatrix is no different. Being a vegan "nymph," she's normally pit against animals in the arena.

The first time she gets pitted against human gladiators, she (literally & figuratively) raises such a stink that that specific arena gets closed to the public for 150 days. Some spectators take weeks to recover.

Needless to expound upon, this increases the demand for her ... *performances.*
