Blackscale lizardfolk are large, powerful reptilian humanoids standing between 8-1/2 to 9-1/2 feet tall and weighing around 600 pounds. They have black scales and a leathery crest that runs from the top of their head to the middle of their back. Their deep-socketed eyes and flat nasal openings give their faces a skull-like appearance. Blackscales are formidable fighters, favoring heroic action and personal glory in combat. Despite their primitive culture, they often possess elaborately carved and decorated weapons, sometimes even magical relics. They are guardians of the sacred city of Haka’torvhak and serve the dragon Rhashaak, fiercely protecting their territory against intruders.
