These animals are really not to be trifled with. As far as we know, there aren't very many of them, but you don't really hear them coming. They only attack sleeping creatures. If you know how to protect yourself more or less when you need to sleep, you don't have to worry... apart from all the other creatures that are out to get you. The "octopus tick" is absolutely deadly if it grabs you. People are rather small prey and are completely sucked out until there is not a drop of blood left in their bodies.They mainly live in moist, boggy areas.
