"If it catches up with me, I'm toast."

Created for a challenge. We were supposed to go for a black-and-white noir look, but we were also supposed to include science fiction elements. I thought that over while I was selecting a black-and-white template to use. I decided to write a prompt about a beautiful blond woman running through the streets of a city with retrofuturistic architecture, and the reason she's running is that a stainless steel robot is in hot pursuit.

My assumption is that she recently saw or heard something she really wasn't supposed to know about, and the robot has been assigned to either capture her or terminate her life -- I'm not sure how the orders were phrased by its master -- the key point being to make sure that the lady can never spread the word about the nasty secret which she stumbled across. There's probably some Big Evil Conspiracy involved, like something out of a James Bond film.
