"Protecting Nita was an assignment I took seriously."

I was testing a template. In the past, I've done several creations in a style I call "Teddy Bear Film Noir," and I decided to try it again, this time using a noir-themed template, to see what happened. The narrator is a hard-boiled teddy bear private eye, and the blond (named "Nita") is a socialite whom he finds himself needing to protect as part of a case. (Perhaps she's a key eyewitness to something?)
