"Hmm...I did notice that earlier, now that you mention it."
Blythe studied Penny's face for a moment.
"There could be some human or elf in there, it's hard to say really..."
Penny shrugged.
"I don't guess it matters, I've gotten by this long without knowing. In all likelihood they're both long dead. Ferrok is my family now."
"Speaking of, what plans do you two have in the long term?"
"...none really? I mean, I like travelling with Ferrok, but it feels like we've been barely scraping by for a while now. I've told him that I think the caravan master is taking advantage of us because no one else will hire an orc with a teenage goblin in tow... As much as he frowns on it, I sometimes have to steal some coin or other items just so we can have something nice beyond basic survival."
Penny finished the last of her tea.
"There's gotta be something more for us in this life, right?"
Blythe considered for a moment.
"You know, I may have a proposition for both of you..."
